Acidic Water is not for drinking, but is great for toxic-free cleaning. A number of manufacturers build multi-purpose cleaning machines that use only strong acidic water as the cleaning agent. In Asia, acidic water is known as “Beauty Water” and is an effective external cleaning agent for personal hygiene use.
Acidic Water is environmentally friendly. One of the reasons acidic water is being adopted by institutions such as hospitals and hotels is that acidic water is non-polluting. When acidic water is introduced into the environment, acidic water rapidly returns to its resting pH state. Acidic water is not at all harmful to the cleaning staff who use it for cleaning purposes. pH stands for “potential hydrogen”. It measures alkalinity or acidity on the pH scale that runs from pH0 to pH14. A pH7 is neutral which means it is neither alkaline nor acidic. Values below pH7 neutral are said to be acidic and values above pH7 are alkaline.

Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) is even more crucial than PH
Traditionally we have judged the properties of water from the standpoint of pH, in other words whether water is acidic or alkaline. Yet according to Dr. Yoshiaki Matsuo Ph.D. and inventor of the water ionizer, “in my opinion, redox potential is more important than pH.” Reduced Alkaline Kangen Water
When taken internally, the reduced alkaline Kangen water with its redox potential of -300 to -800 mV readily donates its electrons to oddball oxygen free radicals and blocks the interaction of the active oxygen with normal molecules. A biological molecule (BM) remains intact and undamaged.

Undamaged biological molecules are less susceptible to infection and disease. Kangen “reduced” water gives up an extra electron and reduces the active oxygen (AO), thus rendering it harmless. The AO is reduced without damaging surrounding biological molecules. Substances which have the ability to counteract active oxygen by supplying electrons are called scavengers. Kangen water, therefore, can be called scavenging water. When taken internally, the effects of Kangen water are immediate. This alkaline water inhibits excessive fermentation in the digestive tract by reducing indirectly metabolites such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, histamines, indoles, phenols and scatoles, resulting in a cleaner stool within days after reduced kangen water is consumed on a regular basis. In 1965 the Ministry of Welfare of Japan announced that reduced kangen water obtained from electrolysis can prevent abnormal fermentation of intestinal microbes.
Oxidized “Acidic” Beauty Water
Oxidized, acidic water with a pH ranging from 4.5 to 5.5 and its redox potential of +400 to +800 mV is an oxidizing agent that can withdraw electrons from bacteria and kill them. This oxidized water can also be produced from the Kangen water ionizer unit; and can be used to clean hands, kitchen utensils, fresh vegetables and fruits, and to sterilize cutting boards and minor wounds. Tests have shown that oxidized water can be used effectively to treat athlete’s foot, minor burns, insect bites, scratches, and so on. This ionizing unit can also produce “strong” oxidized acidic water with a redox potential of +1,100 mV or more and of pH lower than 2.7. Tests have shown that this strong acidic water can quickly destroy MRSA (Methecillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus). Although strong acidic water is a powerful sterilizing agent, it won’t harm the skin. In fact, it can be used to heal. This water has proven effective in Japanese hospitals in the treatment of bedsores, gangrene and operative wounds with complicated infections.
